Precise measurement of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis
Endosonographic shear wave elastography (EUS-SWE) measures the "hardness" of the liver tissue and shows whether fibrosis or early stages of cirrhosis are already present.
As the measurement is carried out directly inside the body, it is particularly precise - even in cases of limited sound transmission from the outside (e.g. obesity, ribcage, intestinal gas).
This means that patients at Vivomed receive a reliable assessment of their liver condition, which is crucial for therapy decisions and follow-up checks.
